Chase the Submarine is a gastronomical haven, offering gourmet sandwiches, wine, beer and specialty food market.  The creation of husband and wife team:  chef Tim Ma and Joey Hernandez of the Tim Ma Restaurant Group, Chase the Submarine features tastes from around the globe while celebrating the best of Virginia’s farms and local purveyors.

Joey and Tim Ma gave up their corporate careers to pursuit their dream of opening a restaurant.  They have called Vienna home for the past 8 years and are happy to be part of the business community in the Town of Vienna, where they live with their three kids: Charlotte, Chase and Camden.  Chase the Submarine was named after their middle son Chase.

COLD SUBS

In early September, we met an amazing teacher at Marshall Road Elementary, her name is Ms. Emily Ratzenberger, a 6th grade teacher. During one of her classes, her students were asked to write a persuasive essay. After finding out that their teacher assistant, Joey owned Chase the Submarine, some students chose to write their persuasive essay on: naming a sub after their teacher Ms Ratzenberger.
So, after the kids voted on the new name for our chicken salad sub: “The Emilycious”, we decided that proceeds from the sale of all “Emilycious” subs will be used to purchase and donate a technology cart to Marshall Road Elementary. The fundraiser begins with a big party, Tuesday, January 24th and it will go until the end of February. Please join us in our effort to make our community stronger.
